The Love Potion Library (LPL) is a bookstore, tea room, and wine bar tucked away on Noe Street in The Castro. It’s built around the things that make life feel a little more delicious: stories that sweep you away, sips worth savoring, and good company.

As a woman in the corporate world who grew up in a community-driven society, I found myself feeling lonely here in San Francisco. As friends scattered across the globe, I longed for a place where people could gather and connect over shared passions. So I started small, with a romance book club last July. It brought me laughter, joy, and a sense of belonging I’d been missing.

That spark grew into this space, a home for unapologetic pleasures. Here, love stories don’t just live on the page; they spill into glasses and conversations, too. Whether you’re here for the swoons, the slow burns, or simply a quiet corner with a glass in hand, I can't wait to meet you.
